Latin. The sound of the language and its structure are studied through
variations of Roman myths. The main textbook for the course, Learning Latin Through
Mythology provides the students with short English and Latin versions of
popular myths. A secondary textbook for the course, First Latin, provides the
students with information about daily life in ancient Rome as seen through the
eyes of children their age. Students will also
learn about archaeological excavations as the main tool to our understanding of past
civilizations.
