Spirit Day

    The last spirit day event for this school year was the Battle of the Books. According to Mrs. Caputo, the score was close the whole time, but Yellow ended up winning an ice cream party. As you might know, karaoke will be held on Friday's during lunch until May 4th. If you want to sign up you just take a slip during lunch and fill out your name(s) with the song you are going to sing. Then Friday during lunch, a slip will be picked out of a hat. If you participate, you will get points for your team. As of Tuesday, April 24th, the scores are:

• Yellow- 92,290
• Green- 90,960
•  Blue-   90, 745
•  Red-    87,750
• Orange-85,770
• White-   85, 760.

    The winning team will be announced in June.

Five Tips on Keeping Cool

• Freeze your pillow case
• Think of a time when you were really cold
• Make sure no windows or doors are open to let the hot air in
• Eat something cold like a milkshake or ice cream
• Take a cold shower or bath
