The BMS Jazz Ensemble is the premiere instrumental music ensemble of Bernardsville Middle School. It is imperative that each student in the BMS Jazz Ensemble learns his/her music to the best of their ability for each rehearsal. Each student must practice diligently at their home so that they are as prepared as possible to contribute to the musical good of the ensemble. It is during ensemble rehearsals that students learn to develop their jazz style, phrasing, balance and intonation within the ensemble. Each rehearsal should and must bring forth progress from each student in order to meet our musical goals. Progress is achieved through determination, practice, effort, patience, understanding, and camaraderie within the ensemble.
All conflicts and issues should be addressed via email at least 48 hours in advance whenever possible. Mr. Snyder's email address is firstname.lastname@example.org.
If. Mr. Snyder is absent from school on the day of a rehearsal, the Jazz Ensemble will NOT meet that afternoon.
