BHS Green Team Joins NexTrex Challenge
The Bernards High School Green Team has joined the NexTrex Recycling Challenge! The challenge is to collect at least 1,000 lbs of plastic film by October 31st to receive a free bench and keep plastic out of our landfills. So far 384 lbs have been collected! Help them reach their goal and make our community more eco-friendly. Residents can drop off CLEAN plastic at the Bernardsville High School Main Office, Bernardsville Library, Community in Crisis, or Bernardsville Police Station!
Not sure what to recycle? You can contribute the following CLEAN and DRY items: produce bags, grocery gags, ice bags, ziploc bags & other resealable bags, cereal box liners, case overwrap, bread bags, newspaper sleeves, dry cleaning bags, bubble wrap, and bubble shipping mailers.
The Bernards High School Green Team is led by advisor Joe Young, and its members include Claire Taylor, Kenzie Mackay, Shannon Tobin, Kathleen Bonnano, Riley Omlor, Charlie Quinn, Samantha Nathans, Maeve MacDonald-Salerno, Kayli McGowan-Kinney, Christina Rekatas, Allison Arcentalez Shaigua, Emma Incarnato, Elianna Calicchio, JuliaSkarlak, Emily Panjachaichana, Lucian Spiteri, Joe Sorge, Gabe Scotton, and Betsy Lezme.
