Arianna Nodes, a senior at Bernards High School, was recognized by the school as the “Everyday Hero” for May!

Nominees for the monthly Everyday Hero Program are students who have a positive influence on the student body through exemplary qualities. Selected students inspire others, are responsible and respectable and have a commitment to peers and the school community. Students are nominated by one or more teachers, selected by the Everyday Hero committee, and announced schoolwide by either Principal Scott Neigel or Assistant Principal Mike Corbett.

Anna Nodes is an exceptionally welcoming, kind, and caring person. She greets every person and every challenge with a smile and positivity. Anna not only shows positive care for her peers, but treats all faculty and staff throughout the high school with kindness. In class, Anna is a caring classmate and involves herself positively with her peers and through her own classwork. In addition to everything Anna does in school, outside of school she participates in a number of activities where she shares her experiences, skills, and leadership; most notably with her involvement in dance and teaching younger students. Anna also showed her leadership through the Tomorrow’s Teachers class, by learning how to direct Bedwell students and be a positive presence and role model for much younger learners. Anna is always willing to help out faculty and staff with any project they have.  A few months ago, she and her sister Bella designed and created the “24 Days of ‘Lit’ mas” Advent calendar that graced the English hallway during the holidays. She is truly a gem. Congratulations to the May Everyday Hero, Arianna  Nodes!
