Le professeur de français au collège reçoit un prix national!

This summer, Patricia Kupper accepted the National Award for Exemplary Programs in French. At the national conference of the American Association of Teachers of French, nine schools in the nation received an award. Bernardsville Middle School was the only middle school to receive this award.

Mrs. Kupper has developed a French program which encourages the enjoyment of learning French and provides opportunities for students to participate in French events outside of the school. Several students have won national awards via competitions. The BMS French program has traveled to MoMA in NYC and Montclair State University.

The AATF Award recognizes the parental, administrative, and community support of learning French and student retention of French into high school. The Somerset Hills School District is honored to be granted the status of Exemplary Programs for French. “We continue to be impressed by our BMS French students and what they accomplish under the dedicated guidance of Madame Kupper,” shared BMS Principal, Lisa Garofalo.
