Spelling Bee Champion!
Congratulations to Ameya Ram who won 1st place (for the second year in a row!) at the Bernardsville Spelling Bee! Held in late October, the Bee was hosted by the Friends of the Bernardsville Library & Kumon Learning Center. It was open to any student in 6th-8th grade who lives in, and/or attends school in, Bernardsville.
This year, including Ameya, 75% of the participants hailed from Bernardsville Middle School. The competition, which lasted nearly two hours, was extremely exciting for the participants and spectators! The Bee began with 6th grade words, and at its conclusion, the finalists were several rounds into 9th grade words! The Somerset Hills School District is buzzing with pride and will recognize Ameya at its upcoming Board Meeting on November 20th.
