Celebrating our Webmaster and Website

At the August 27th Somerset Hills School District Board of Education Meeting, Connor Flynn was recognized for his dedication and perseverance in his role as Webmaster. As part of the Technology Department, Flynn applied his knowledge and expertise to create the district’s new website which was rolled out on August 11, 2025. He was commended for his project management, implementation of migration, and continued maintenance and support for all stakeholders.

The new SHSD website addresses many of the concerns and challenges of the previous site. Feedback from parents and staff was appreciated to help guide the improvements that were made. There are new navigational tools on the main page to find information more easily. Schools can be accessed at the top of the page, along with the Board of Education. There is a Menu button in the corner that includes information such as family resources. There one can also locate the Superintendent tab that is home to all of Dr. Brotschul’s eBlasted letters, Superintendent Reports, and more.

On the main page, users can visit Quick Links to find the Business Office, Facilities, and the various Home School Associations.  Below that is an array of buttons housing curriculum, departments, athletics, and more. To read articles highlighting our amazing students and staff across all three campuses, visit the District News section. The calendars have been updated and allow parents to customize the calendar information they wish to receive. Currently, an app is being developed; look for information on the app coming this fall!

Highlights from the last Board Meeting can be found in the August Board Brief, a monthly document that features a smattering of approved Board Meeting resolutions. Complete Board Agendas and Minutes can be found on that same page, along with a list of all BOE Meeting dates, archived BOE meetings, and the link to watch it live. The next meeting of the Somerset Hills Board of Education is scheduled for September 17th at 7:30 in the BHS Community Room. All are welcome!
