SHSD BOE Reorganization
On January 5, 2026, the Somerset Hills Board of Education met for its annual Reorganization Meeting. Three Board members took the Oath of Office administered by Mr. Richard Liguori, Business Administrator/Board Secretary.
Newly elected to the Board were Mrs. Kelly Hunt and Mrs. Allicen Librera. Sworn in to serve her third three-year term was Mrs. Pat Wry. Additionally, Mrs. Sam Frenda was nominated and elected to serve another term as Board President, as was Mrs. Heather Santoro as Board Vice President. “Answering the call to serve your community as a Board of Education member is a selfless endeavor and I am pleased to be working with our newly installed Board members, and Board leadership, as we chart the future for Somerset Hills children,” shared Dr. Brian Brotschul, Superintendent of Schools.

The next SHSD BOE public meeting is scheduled for January 28, 2026 at 7:30 pm in the Bernards High School Community Room. All are welcome to attend! Board meetings are also televised live and archived, as are the monthly Superintendent Report presentations that include a wealth of district news and highlights.
Of note, the community is also encouraged to attend one of the two remaining dates this winter to learn about the proposed Referendum; presentations will be held on January 27th and February 11th in the BHS Media Center at 7pm.
