Registration / Withdrawal

Registration for grades  K-12 for the 2026-27 school year will open on March 02, 2026. All parents/guardians of children who will be entering kindergarten in September 2026 can go online to www.SHSD.org and pre-register.  

Students must be five years of age by October 1, 2026 in order to enroll in Kindergarten for the 2026 – 2027 school year.

Registration will take place by appointment, from March 16, 2026  from 8:00 AM – 12:30 PM and 2 PM – 3 PM  at the Somerset Hills District Office (25 Olcott Ave).

Please follow the instruction below to pre-register your child

*Please note: Registration takes place in the historic Olcott Building on the first floor. The building does not have a ramp, so please let us know if accessibility would be an issue and we will make arrangements to meet in an alternate location.

Registration Instructions - Grades K-12

1. Go to the GENESIS Open Registration 
   (See below for instructions on how to translate GENESIS into other languages.) Please make sure you hit the “REVIEW and SUBMIT” and the “RESUBMIT REGISTRATION INFORMATION” button at the end of the session to save the registration. As part of the registration process, you will be required to create a login ID and password in order to submit the online registration. 
    
2. Registration will take place by appointment at the Somerset Hills District Office (25 Olcott Ave). The final step in the online application process will be to select an appointment time slot.

3. Registration Requirements:
   Please bring the following to the appointment:
   1. Original Birth Certificate 
   2. Parent/Guardian photo I.D.
   3. Two forms of proof of residency: Examples Here 
      If the parents are living in the home of another person or rent but do not have a lease, then they will need to fill out the Affidavit of Owner/Landlord and get it notarized.  They would need to submit two forms of Proof of residency from the above list in that person’s name.
      For High School students residing in Bedminster, they must contact first call the Bedminster Township School 
   4. Universal Child Health Record and Immunization Record 
      The physical exam must be completed /dated within 365 days prior to the date of school entry.
