Everyday Hero for April!
Everyday Hero for April!
Everyday Hero for April!
Posted on 04/10/2025
Kaley Welsh, a senior at Bernards High School, has been recognized by the school as the “Everyday Hero” for April.
Nominees for the monthly Everyday Hero Program are students who have a positive influence on the student body through exemplary qualities. Selected students inspire others, are responsible and respectable and have a commitment to peers and the school community. Students are nominated by one or more teachers, selected by the Everyday Hero committee, and announced schoolwide by either Principal Scott Neigel or Assistant Principal Mike Corbett.
Kaley is a hero both in and outside the classroom. In the classroom, Kaley is an exemplary student who brightens it: her consistent kindness toward peers creates a welcoming atmosphere where everyone feels valued and supported. She approaches her assignments with remarkable focus, submitting thoughtful work that demonstrates intellectual curiosity, creativity, and attention to detail. What truly sets her apart is her natural inclination to help classmates who are struggling, offering assistance with patience and genuine encouragement. Her polite and friendly demeanor when interacting with both peers and staff reflects a maturity beyond her years. In addition to academics, Kaley has served the LiFE Club with dedication and compassion, has devoted herself to the theatre department, and has been an activist for the whole cast. She is also an EMS volunteer, giving back to her community in many important ways. With all she is involved in, Kaley embodies outstanding character and authentic leadership worthy of a hero.
Kaley, as well as her peers who will be recognized monthly during the 2024-2025 school year, will receive a generous gift certificate from Nicoletta Pizzeria, the sponsor of the Everyday Hero Program.
