Updates from the 2/21 Public Meeting

Thank you to everyone who joined us and participated in our meeting on the evening of February 21st. Dr. Brotschul and the board recognized the outstanding accomplishments of the BHS Pinnacle contributors and their advisor for their first place category in the Recognizing Excellence in Art and Literacy Magazines contest and the American Scholastic Press Association Review contest. French students and their teacher at BMS were recognized for their accomplishments in the American Association of Teachers of French competition and we recognized BHS students and their advisor for their Second Place overall finish in the NJ Physics Olympics. Marcella Craver also received recognition upon the announcement of her retirement from her BMS School Counselor position.

 

Included in the superintendent's report was an update on the Somerset Hills Community Partnership and the work they are undertaking and the transition of the district Student Information System (SIS) from PowerSchool to Genesis. Bernards High School Fashion Show Tickets ON SALE NOW!

Every year, the Bernards High School Senior Class puts on a Fashion Show for the community as a fundraiser for their Last Blast graduation celebration (an alcohol and drug free event, free to all Seniors). This year's event will be held on Saturday, March 9th at 7pm in the BHS Cafeteria. Please join us! You may purchase individual tickets ($50 each), a Table for 8 ($380) or a Table for 10 ($450); tickets include reserved seating and table snacks; there will also be many items offered via silent auction and a 50/50 raffle. It will sell out quickly, so purchase your tickets as soon as possible. Tickets are on sale for the Senior Fashion show on Saturday, March 9th. You may purchase individual tickets ($50 each), a Table for 8 ($380) or a Table for 10 ($450). This event has a limited capacity for fire safety reasons. It will sell out quickly so purchase your tickets as soon as possible. Your spot is only official WITH receipt of payment. Please note: If you don't have the names of everyone at your table yet, that's ok. We will need the purchaser to provide names no later than Saturday, March 2nd so we can create check in lists for the event. Please click here for the ticket order form.

Shamrock Shuffle



Join us Saturday March 23rd for the 4th Annual Shamrock Shuffle in Bernardsville. Race day will include a USATF Grand Prix 5K on our challenging and scenic certified course, a 2 mile walk, a free kids fun run, and St. Patrick's Day festivities. Registration is only $18 for adults and $15 for youth (14 and under). An optional supersoft commemorative t-shirt is available as an add-on during registration. The first 350 runners who register for the 5K will receive a festive finisher medal, and we have great prizes for the fastest 5K runners thanks to our generous local sponsors.
